About the role:
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a strong focus on automation testing and coding. In this role, you will build and maintain automation frameworks, test web and backend applications, validate APIs and microservices, and support software quality throughout the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has strong Java programming skills, experience with modern automation tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality, reliable software.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Create and execute automated tests for web, backend, and API-based applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Validate REST APIs, microservices, and backend services to ensure quality and reliability.
- Write and maintain test scripts using modern automation tools and frameworks.
- Debug issues, identify root causes, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Perform database validation and testing using SQL.
- Execute performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter.
- Test cloud-based applications and services running in AWS environments.
- Contribute to improving automation coverage, testing processes, and overall product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software is delivered with high quality and reliability.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java
- Strong experience with Spring Boot
- REST API and microservices development
- Experience designing and integrating APIs
- Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL / MySQL
- Experience with AWS services
- Familiarity with Docker, containers, and CI/CD
- Good understanding of application security, authentication, and authorization
- Experience with Git-based development workflows
- Basic to good understanding of frontend technologies such as JavaScript / TypeScript / React / Angular
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
- Android development knowledge
- iOS development knowledge
- Flutter experience
- Experience with messaging/event-driven systems
- Experience with high-volume API platforms
- Telecom or calling-platform experience
