Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to:

• Adopt responsibility for the design and development of automated tests.
• Contribute to technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services.
• Harness their strong background in test automation.
• Analyze business requirements, design and implement solutions, and develop software components to incrementally enhance the product.
• Share quality and process knowledge with the team.
• Participate in the evolution and extension of our Testing Automation Framework.
• Participate in the project planning process including estimating and processing improvements in an Agile environment.
• Mentor and assist team members.
• Be a flexible individual, able to handle manual testing as needed.

The team
In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. The stream provides seamless digital trading access and solutions to our clients and covers front to back all processes along the securities trading value chain.
As a member of the development team, you will be building a new state-of-the-art trading tool. You are responsible for the development and continuous improvement of applications in the trading stream which will serve the Global Wealth Management Business in Europe and APAC. You will be working closely with other business and IT aligned teams around the globe.

Your skills and experience

• Experienced Senior QA Automation professional, who drives to modernize with proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Typescript, and Java.
• Experience with Playwright UI test automation and Selenium.
• A good knowledge of test-driven development approaches such as BDD to support continuous delivery.
• Take ownership and responsibility for the design and development of all aspects of automated testing along with the creation, execution, and maintenance of automated scripts.
• Experience in Kafka will be beneficial.
• Analyze, design, and build automated test cases based on acceptance criteria captured in user stories.
• Collaborate with development teams to develop quality products; work closely together to understand the functionality and devise acceptance tests at an appropriate test level, prioritizing both speed and quality to support continuous delivery.
• Act as an anchor for product quality activities during development & releases such as identifying bugs and coordinating remediation.
• Continuously improve the CI/CD toolchain and services in close collaboration with the agile programs and software engineers and the central architecture.
• Research issues in software with remediation geared towards designing & developing test automation scripts.
• Contribute to the platform architecture and product solution design.
• A flexible, resilient team player with strong interpersonal skills taking initiative to drive things forward independently adopting principles such as servant leadership.

Nice to have:

• Experience or interest in the financial industry sector, e.g., in the Order Management, Electronic Trading, or Securities Trading domain.

Contract and Travel Details

• This position may involve travel depending on project needs and will require working in a global environment ensuring communication across various business and IT teams.
