The role is responsible for testing and auditing software and hardware products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards, developing and implementing quality coordination and testing strategy, and recommending solutions to quality issues that arise, ensuring a product is meeting quality requirements before its launch, by monitoring every stage of the product development process and suggesting corrections that range from basic product necessities to feature improvements and optimizations.
Responsibilities
- Identify issues that arise from quality assurance tests
- Keep track of improvements made to enhance quality of products
- Apply existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
- Conduct quality assurance tests against design requirements and specifications
- Trace issues to relevant development stage and teams
- Automate quality assurance testing for suitable types of tests and test processes
- Identify opportunities to decrease time and cost spent on system quality assurance processes
- Propose improvements to optimize quality assurance testing process
- Obtain technical documents to understand user requirements, product specifications, and intended outcomes
- Create test scenarios that comply with established testing procedures and guidelines
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution
Years & Nature Of Experience Would have 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience where required competencies and experience have been demonstrated in quality assurance/testing and/or software development
- An experienced professional who can deliver on difficult technical tasks
- Has project implementation experience
- Is self-sufficient at work and could be given small project responsibility
- Has provided technical supervision to junior staff in the past
