The role involves reviewing business requirements and design specifications for completeness and testability, providing input in tasks planning and task estimation related to project requirements.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and backend systems. The QA Engineer will perform functional, regression, UAT, performance, and integration testing, as well as identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps. Ensuring system performance, reliability, and compatibility across devices and platforms is essential, along with compliance to government security and quality standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, project managers, and business analysts to resolve issues, contribute to the development of automation testing frameworks, and ensure all releases follow ITSM/ITIL processes, including change and release management. The QA Engineer will also analyze and document results of software application tests, proactively escalate issues, suggest process improvements, and maintain project artifacts in a centralized repository.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in software testing, QA methodologies, and best practices
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Appium, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps practices
  • Experience testing APIs, databases, and mobile applications
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with database and application security standards
  • Familiarity with RDMS, application development tools, and technologies

Work Conditions:
On-site in Sharjah, UAE.

Duration:
2 years contract (extendable to long term).
