Quality Control Supervisor

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking an experienced QC Supervisor to join our SHEQ team. The role is responsible for overseeing quality control activities across manufacturing operations, ensuring that production processes and finished products comply with established quality standards, technical specifications, and inspection requirements.
The successful candidate will supervise QC Inspectors, monitor inspection activities, address quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain product quality and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate daily quality control activities across production operations.
• Oversee in-process and final product inspections to ensure compliance with approved quality plans and technical specifications.
• Lead and support QC Inspectors, ensuring inspection activities are conducted accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor product quality and identify non-conformities throughout the manufacturing process.
• Review inspection reports, test results, and quality documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper use and calibration of measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection equipment.
• Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems, internal procedures, and applicable industry standards.
• Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience supervising or leading quality inspection teams.
• Strong knowledge of in-process inspection, final inspection, and quality control procedures.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and inspection plans.
• Proficiency in precision measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection equipment.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001.
• Experience managing non-conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Good communication, reporting, and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in ammunition manufacturing, defence, aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering industries.
• Knowledge of small-caliber ammunition specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 and other relevant quality standards.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives and quality improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
