Amazon’s MENA Grocery team (UFG) is offering a unique opportunity for a Quality Specialist to take charge of building a new business from the ground up. The role focuses on the quality of Meat, Seafood, Produce, and other perishables, which is essential for the Amazon Ultra-Fast-Grocery (UFG) business and a key differentiator for our customers.

In this position, you will assist vendors in optimizing their operations to meet the high Amazon quality standards for daily perishable items. Your responsibilities will include driving process improvement initiatives, participating in stakeholder meetings, and improving customer satisfaction metrics. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including instock managers, vendor managers, store operation managers, and fulfillment partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the quality of perishable items during inbound processes at Amazon stores, hubs, and vendor sites.
  • Reject damaged or defective items and document rejected items (by item/vendor, quantity).
  • Audit the quality during the picking and packing process performed by LPC associates.
  • Monitor packaging standards during the packing process.
  • Perform daily audits and share reports with stakeholders.
  • Train store and hub associates on quality standards, SOPs, and packaging.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • The role may require weekend work but will not exceed a 40-hour work week.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • HACCP, PIC 3 certified by SFDA / Highfield Food Safety Level 4, ISO 22000, GMP.
  • Knowledge of fruits and vegetable quality specifications and familiarity with Riyadh F&V Market (Al Kharj / Taif / Tabuk fresh produce farms).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet Amazon's high-quality standards.
  • Experience communicating with senior management and customers.
  • Knowledge of the Arabic language is preferred.
