Position

Amazon's MENA Grocery team (UFG) is seeking a Quality Specialist & Business Intelligence professional to help build a new grocery business from the ground up. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of meat, seafood, produce, and perishables, which is crucial for Amazon UFG's success and a key differentiator for our customers.

In this position, you will assist vendors in optimizing their operations to meet and exceed Amazon's quality standards. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, driving process improvement initiatives, and participating in stakeholder meetings. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, improve buying efficiency for fresh produce, and reduce damage or expiry due to poor quality.

Work Conditions: Full-time, may require weekend work but will not exceed a 40-hour work week.
Location: Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the quality of meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, eggs, and other perishable items during inbound at Amazon stores, hubs, and vendor sites.
  • Reject damaged or defective items back to the vendor and document the rejected items (by item/vendor, quantity).
  • Audit quality during the picking and packing processes conducted by LPC associates.
  • Monitor packaging standards during the packing process.
  • Perform daily audits of bins and share weekly/daily reports with stakeholders.
  • Train store and hub associates on quality, SOPs, and packaging.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Arabic.
  • Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • HACCP, PIC 3 (Person In Charge) certified by SFDA / Highfield Food Safety Level 4, ISO 22000, GMP.
  • Knowledge of fruit and vegetable quality specifications and familiarity with Riyadh F&V Market (Al Kharj / Taif / Tabuk fresh produce farms).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in online retail.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, or HTML.
