Position

The MENA Grocery team (UFG) at Amazon is seeking a Quality Specialist & Business Intelligence professional to contribute to an innovative and high-impact business that is transforming the grocery experience for customers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Meat, Seafood, Produce, and other perishable items. The Category Quality team aims to maintain and exceed Amazon's high quality standards, which are crucial for customer satisfaction.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting vendors in optimizing their operations to meet Amazon's quality standards, conducting inspections, driving process improvement initiatives, and participating in stakeholder meetings. You will also focus on improving customer satisfaction metrics, enhancing buying efficiency for fresh produce, and minimizing damage due to poor quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review the quality of perishable items during the inbound process at Amazon stores, hubs, and vendor sites.
  • Reject damaged or defective items back to the vendor and document rejected items.
  • Conduct audits during the picking and packing process performed by LPC associates.
  • Monitor packaging standards during the packing process.
  • Perform daily audits of bins and share weekly/daily reports with stakeholders.
  • Train store and hub associates on quality standards, SOPs, and packaging.

Work Conditions:

  • Full-time position with the possibility of weekend work, not exceeding a 40-hour work week.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • HACCP and PIC 3 certified by SFDA or Highfield Food Safety level 4, ISO 22000, GMP.
  • Knowledge of quality specifications for fruits and vegetables, familiarity with the Riyadh F&V Market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting quality standards.
  • Experience in communicating with senior management and customers.
  • Knowledge of the Arabic language is preferred.
