About the Job
Quality TL is responsible for leading daily vehicle inspection and quality verification activities within the Customer Acceptance Line, ensuring all vehicles meet defined customer acceptance standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements prior to release. The role provides frontline leadership to Quality Inspectors, coordinates inspection activities, drives rapid containment and escalation of quality concerns, and ensures accurate documentation of inspection results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example through strict adherence to all Environmental Health and Safety requirements, including mandatory PPE usage based on workstation requirements.
  • Promote and enforce a safe, clean, and organized work environment in line with 6S standards, support routine audits and follow-up corrective actions.
  • Lead and oversee Customer Acceptance line (CAL) inspections in line with approved work instructions, acceptance criteria, and the company quality procedures.
  • Coordinate daily team activities, assign priorities, monitor throughput, and ensure inspections are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure inspection results, defects, and rework status are accurately and completely recorded in the Manufacturing Execution System or applicable quality systems.
  • Monitor, contain, and escalate recurrent, critical, or customer-impacting quality issues in accordance with escalation and reactivity procedures.
  • Secure quality escapes to Vehicle Audit / LCPA by ensuring robust containment, defect confirmation, and calibration of team members against standards.
  • Provide structured feedback to Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and cross-functional partners on repetitive quality issues and verify containment and corrective action effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in defect detection, process robustness, and inspection effectiveness using audit results, lessons learned, and field quality feedback.
  • Ensure proper use, availability, maintenance, and calibration status of inspection tools, gauges, and equipment according to defined planning.
  • Train, coach, and support inspectors and new hires on inspection methods, safety requirements, standards, and acceptance criteria.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality excellence, standard work discipline, and continuous improvement within the team.

Skills

  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated, and highly organized.
  • Good level of initiative and sound judgment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Industrial School graduate in an industrial, manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a high-volume OEM manufacturing environment required.
  • Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to work shift patterns as required by plant operations.
