Position

This Engineering role is responsible for the modelling, performance prediction, measurement, processing, analyzing, and interpreting of radar data and systems. The role requires proven experience in conducting radar field measurements and a working knowledge of radar signal processing, detection, tracking, and classification algorithms. Responsibilities include applied radar research in areas such as electronic defense, RF propagation, and target classification. The Engineer will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including radar engineers, systems integrators, systems testing engineers, and several key stakeholders in a dynamic, security-conscious environment in the UAE.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Signal Processing, Radar Engineering, or a closely related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in radar signal processing, radar systems engineering, electronic warfare analysis, or a closely related domain.
  • Practical experience with radar signal processing techniques (pulse/Doppler processing, CFAR, MTI/MTD, STAP, waveform design, pulse compression, beamforming, MIMO).
  • Strong programming skills and experience developing analysis tools and automation in Python, MATLAB, Julia, or C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience with radar data formats, simulation tools, and measurement instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF receivers, recorders) and familiarity with data visualization libraries/tools.
  • Proven ability to analyze RF interference and jamming scenarios and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing technical reports, presenting findings, and delivering briefings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

Background:

  • Prior experience operating or supporting military/defense radar systems, civil air surveillance radars, maritime radar systems, or ground surveillance radars is preferred.
  • Knowledge of target classification techniques, machine learning applied to radar, and experience integrating ML models into analysis pipelines.
  • Familiarity with radar data format standards, such as ASTERIX.
