Radar System Engineer

PULSE, the joint venture between the company and INDRA, is seeking a skilled and driven Radar Systems Engineer to support the design of advanced radar solutions for defense applications. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of high-performance radar capabilities, supporting the full engineering lifecycle from modelling and analysis through integration, qualification, and customer technical engagements, while ensuring compliance with stringent defense and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead radar system design activities, covering architecture definition (Pulsed, FMCW, AESA), signal/data processing, and RF and antenna specifications.
• Perform system modelling and performance analysis using Matlab/Simulink, Python or radar simulation tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical consistency across the radar system and comply with defense engineering standards (MIL-STD).
• Execute hardware/software integration, testing, and qualification in lab and field environments, using professional RF and measurement equipment.
• Support validation campaigns, troubleshoot system issues at all levels, and contribute to documentation, design reviews, and customer-facing technical discussions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in radar system engineering/design.
• Proven ability to execute technical tasks within regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with radar test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• Solid background in modelling tools (Matlab/Simulink, Python, ADS, CST).
• Strong communication skills and ability to represent the company in technical reviews.
