Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of transmit and receive modules for phased-array radar architectures, ensuring compliance with system performance requirements.
- Define TRM electrical and functional architectures, including gain distribution, phase/amplitude control, power amplification, low-noise reception, switching, and protection functions.
- Perform detailed trade-off analyses on power, efficiency, noise figure, linearity, thermal behavior, reliability, and packaging constraints.
- Coordinate simulation, prototyping, laboratory validation, and environmental qualification of TRM designs across development milestones.
- Work with antenna, RF, mechanical, thermal, power, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless module integration into array assemblies.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for performance deviations, failures, yield issues, or reliability concerns observed during testing or production.
- Support supplier interaction, component evaluation, obsolescence mitigation, and configuration management for critical RF and microwave devices.
- Provide technical leadership in reviews, verification strategies, and roadmap activities related to phased-array transmit/receive technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, Microwave Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in RF / microwave design, with direct exposure to T/R modules, AESA architectures, or phased-array subsystems.
- Strong understanding of transmit and receive chains, phase and gain control, low-noise design, high-power amplification, switching, and control interfaces.
- Experience with RF simulation, laboratory characterization, and troubleshooting of integrated microwave assemblies.
- Knowledge of thermal management, packaging, reliability, and manufacturability considerations in dense high-frequency modules.
- Ability to lead complex technical workstreams and coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces in demanding development programs.
- Prior experience in radar or defense electronics programs is highly desirable.
