Real Time Streaming (Apache Beam/Flink) Engineer

Virtusa is seeking a Real Time Streaming (Apache Beam/Flink) Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of development and design experience in Java/Scala/Python, Flink, Beam, or similar streaming toolsets, along with Kafka. The role requires extensive coding experience and knowledge in event-driven and streaming architecture, as well as experience in JVM tuning for performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with caching systems, preferably Apache Ignite.
• Familiarity with Linux OS configuration and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of design patterns and CI/CD principles (GitHub, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of distributed services resiliency and monitoring.
• Designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems.
• Knowledge of migration strategies including CRON, ETLs, and JDBC-ODBC scripts.
• Basics of networking including DNS, Proxy, and troubleshooting.

The candidate should also be familiar with compliance and regulatory requirements of data, including encryption, anonymization, and data integrity. Experience in Agile methodology is essential.
