Key Responsibilities:
- Support the MENAT Head of Architecture in defining and maintaining the technology strategy for the region.
- Reduce technical debt and align the architectural design of the portfolio with global strategy.
- Establish the MENAT Technology roadmap to enable key business drivers.
- Stay updated on current and emerging technology trends.
- Accountable for the overall design and integrity of systems/apps to support significant programs or projects.
- Ensure solution designs are commercially and technically viable.
- Provide innovative solutions to challenge the legacy application footprint.
- Build relationships in a complex global environment for effective delivery.
- Navigate ambiguity regarding reporting lines, roles, and responsibilities.
- Convert design into complex programs of work, considering resource, financial, and change management aspects.
- Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including senior management.
- Prioritize work independently and ensure outcomes align with managerial agreements.
- Incorporate risk management according to the Operational Risk Management Framework into all design principles.
- Architect cost components of complex designs through stakeholder coordination.
Requirements:
- Graduation degree is required to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
- Knowledge of Retail or Commercial Banking Technology is preferred.
- Strategic mindset to architect and lead large-scale programs valued at $10+ million.
- Expertise in multiple IT domains (data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and applications), with advanced knowledge in one area.
- At least 10 years of architecture experience or strong technical project management experience, particularly in architectural approaches.
- Mandatory experience in a global organization for 10+ years.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience in preparing updates for Board/C-level.
- Demonstrable experience in defining end-to-end technology strategy and roadmaps.
- Knowledgeable in emerging industry trends, such as microservices, open banking, APIs, and AI.
- Strong project management skills with experience in delivering complex architectural projects.
- Cloud architect certification (Microsoft, Google, or Amazon) is desirable.
