Release Engineer

About the Job
Avrioc Technologies is seeking a Release Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for creating builds from various branches for multiple platforms and coordinating with development teams to gather changes for each build. You will plan internal deployments for QA and other teams for testing, document changes going into a build, and circulate build notes to relevant teams.
Your main responsibilities will include planning and scheduling build cycles, writing and enhancing build scripts for maximum automation and deployment efficiency, and managing available build machine resources to optimize parallel builds and build times. You will also prepare solid builds for release and create automated systems for reporting build failures and their causes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in build creation and deployment, release steps, and store deployment.
• Tools: Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy, AWS S3, Xcode, Android Studio, and Visual Studio.
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in using Mac, Windows, and Linux machines for creating builds.
• Scripting: Experience with writing Groovy scripts, batch scripts, and shell scripts.
• Knowledge: Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its workflows and procedures.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Unreal Engine build processes.
