Research Assistant in Deep Reinforcement Learning

The Deep Learning laboratory in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit a research assistant to work on Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL). The successful applicant will lead the lab's music generation initiative, contributing to the development of DRL algorithms for online and offline tasks, particularly for robotic applications and potentially for large language model (LLM) reasoning applications in the future. Responsibilities include:

• Designing algorithms
• Running experiments on High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems
• Analyzing results and improving algorithms
• Conducting extensive literature reviews

Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree in computer science and have significant experience with deep learning using PyTorch, along with expertise in reinforcement learning. Candidates should have completed several major projects in DRL. Excellent mathematical skills and proficiency in English are also required.
