Research Assistant in the Division of Science (Computer Science)

The Communication Networks Lab in the Computer Science Program of the Division of Sciences at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant. Applicants with backgrounds in computer networks, web, internet measurements, satellite, AI, and machine learning, or related fields are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will work on various projects related to the application of AI and machine learning in web, social media, and large language models (LLMs).

Location: Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Qualifications:

• A B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related area received within the last three years.
• Significant research experience in web scraping, data analysis, machine learning, and LLMs.
• Excellent academic credentials and a good publication record.
• Strong background in machine learning is mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate scientific creativity.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, and Android.
• Proficiency in working in a Linux environment.
