Research Associate in the Division of Engineering (Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence)

The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for a Research Associate position in the Traffic Flow Dynamics and Computations group, supervised by Prof. Saif Eddin Jabari. This group focuses on the theoretical aspects of traffic and transportation systems, developing and analyzing novel machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) methods for various systems engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team of researchers to develop innovative ML/AI algorithms for time series data affected by chaotic shocks.
• Contribute to research on autonomous vehicle security.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in applied mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrable expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
