The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hard-working, possessing a Master's degree in Data Science, Computational Social Science, Computer Science, or Information Science, or a bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant experience. Candidates should have experience with at least one of the following: Data Science, Machine Learning, Computational Social Science, or Big Data. Relevant skills may include:
- Statistical analysis
- Data management and collection
- Causal inference
- Network analysis
- Graph theory
- Visualizations
- Online tool development
Experience in conducting online controlled experiments is also desired, though not mandatory. Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams are essential.
Selected candidates will work closely with Dr. Bedoor AlShebli, an Assistant Professor in Computational Social Science. The appointment will be for three years and offers a competitive salary above international rates for Post-Doctoral / Research Engineering / Research Associate positions. Benefits include:
