Research Engineer/Technician in the Division of Science (Computer Science) - Dr. Nizar Habash

The company Computational Approaches to Modeling Language (CAMeL) Lab is seeking to hire a new Research Engineer / Technician to engage in various research areas, develop open-source tools and resources, and contribute to publications. CAMeL's mission is focused on research and education in artificial intelligence, specifically in natural language processing, computational linguistics, and data science. Key research areas include Arabic natural language processing (orthography normalization, grammatical error correction, morphology tagging, syntax parsing, readability assessment), machine translation, and text analytics.

This position is aimed at candidates with a Master's degree for Research Engineer, or a bachelor's degree (BS) with at least 3-5 years of experience for Research Technician. Preferred qualifications include a degree in computer science or computer engineering, strong programming and software engineering skills, experience with machine learning, and some research publication background. Knowledge of the Arabic language is preferred but not mandatory, as is experience with Arabic NLP.
