We are seeking a talented Resident Engineer (Roads & Bridges) to join our team in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will manage the Construction Supervision of Roads and Infrastructure Projects, ensuring that project elements meet schedule and budget requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the scope of engineering work, schedules, change management, and project closeout, while monitoring progress to meet project goals. Document changes in scope as necessary.
- Coordinate with authorities and agencies for approvals and the handover of projects and services.
- Interface with contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the contract and project deliverables.
- Review work produced to ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and procedures while maintaining acceptable quality.
- Review and approve change orders, notifying project management and other affected personnel of all changes.
- Manage client expectations and provide periodic updates on project progress.
- Liaise with authorities to ensure smooth execution and handover of the project.
- Ensure that the company's rights and obligations are fulfilled throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 15 years of postgraduate experience in supervision and construction management of major roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects, preferably within the GCC region.
- Recent and substantial work experience on community development projects is a must, with a preference for experience in Dubai.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Good technical knowledge and familiarity with applicable standards and codes.
- Proficient in relevant computer software and technical tools related to the field.
- Understanding of construction health, safety, and environmental practices.
