Position

About the Role / About the Job
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the client’s program or progress report, ensuring compliance with Contract Documents, and inspecting all workmanship and materials. You will coordinate with clients for the supply of vertical and horizontal controls, conduct layout checks and grades, and maintain comprehensive file records on work force, equipment, progress, and safety. Additionally, you will review and approve shop drawings, perform materials testing, and manage contract responsibilities without relieving clients of their obligations without authorization. You will check and certify progress payments and personnel, equipment, and material costs for Variation Orders and Change Orders. Furthermore, you will prepare monthly reports that include site safety monitoring activities and assist in determining proper costs of additions or credits due to the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the client’s program or progress report
  • Ensure compliance with Contract Documents
  • Inspect workmanship and material

  • Maintain file records including reports on work force, equipment, progress, and safety
  • Review and approve shop drawings
  • Conduct soils and materials testing according to specifications
  • Manage the contract's responsibilities without unauthorized relief to clients
  • Handle final materials submittals and approval
  • Check and certify progress payments for clients
  • Review costs for Variation Orders and Change Orders
  • Prepare Variation Orders for additional and new works
  • Create the monthly report
  • Oversee site safety monitoring activities
  • Determine costs of additions or credits due to the client and recommend actions
  • Inspect safety conditions and report violations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Preferred experience with RTA projects
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in infrastructure engineering focused on large-scale projects including roads, bridges, and underpasses
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction methodologies, and quality control
  • Excellent project management skills including budget and schedule management
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong technical report writing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs
