As a Risk Manager, your responsibilities will include risk planning, conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, updating the risk register, and preparing reports and presentations. You will play a key role in facilitating risk workshops with project stakeholders, developing the risk register, and prioritizing risks while utilizing your thorough knowledge of Risk Assessment processes and applicable tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate risk workshops and reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct complex statistical, quantitative, and qualitative analyses on individual risks.
  • Monitor emerging risks, analyze trends, and work with risk owners to recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze and report on the likelihood of success for project costs and schedules by linking risks and uncertainties.
  • Lead the project team in risk identification, assessment, analysis, mitigation, and monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure knowledge sharing of risks and opportunities across programs and assist in developing training materials for various management levels.
  • Develop project and work schedules, ensuring all deliverables are met.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and maintain up-to-date records for enterprise risk applications.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field from a Western university.
  • Preferred certifications in leadership, management, program/project management, and performance management.
  • 15 years of experience in a project-oriented environment focusing on Risk Management.
  • PMI-RMP certification is highly desired.
  • Proficient in risk planning and assessment, including facilitation of workshops and using relevant software tools like Oracle/Primavera Risk Assessment.
  • Strong understanding of industry practices and regulations is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
