The Risk Control Business Partner plays a crucial role in the risk control team at ByteDance, which is responsible for performing risk identification and assessing the effectiveness of internal controls across the company’s global functions. This position, based in our Dubai office, will support global products offered by ByteDance. The new hire will be responsible for collaborating with business teams to identify risks, conduct root cause analysis, identify control gaps, quantify impact using available data, and ultimately provide valuable recommendations to management.

Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls in place to mitigate key risks.
- Lead global projects to review policies, define processes, identify risks, controls, and opportunities for enhancement across business units.
- Provide control guidance during business process changes and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
- Drive insights-driven risk work through the development, implementation, and monitoring of business data to promptly identify and address risks, as well as support continuous risk monitoring with data analytics.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure risks in the business are adequately addressed and facilitate improvements in the control environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data-driven risk advisory support and process enhancement initiatives.
- Promote a risk-aware culture by engaging with senior stakeholders and key cross-functional partners on emerging technology, industry trends, and cutting-edge risks.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Auditing).
- 3+ years of experience in internal controls, risk management, consulting, business process improvement, and/or internal audit, preferably within e-commerce, media, tech, or entertainment companies.
- Project management skills to support the execution of Risk Control initiatives.
- Experience as a trusted risk business partner, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills and capability to drive action in ambiguous situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and identify enhancements to unfamiliar business processes with minimal background information.
- Passionate about working with large and complex data sets to derive actionable insights and solve challenging problems.
- Strong structured thinking, data analysis skills, and cross-organizational communication abilities.
- Experience working independently in a flexible team environment while managing multiple assignments.
- Working experience across countries and regions is preferred.
- Proficient in completing reports and communicating with global staff and senior leadership independently.
