The Risk Control team is responsible for performing risk identification and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across ByteDance's global functions. This team seeks to add tangible value to the company through insightful and comprehensive risk management practices and proactive internal controls advisory support.
Responsibilities
- Perform risk analysis, root cause and impact analysis using data analysis and process mining, focusing on process and risk management.
- Lead global projects to review policies, define processes, identify risks, controls, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Provide control guidance during business process changes and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
- Design solutions regarding processes and controls with emphasis on effectiveness, efficiency, and system feasibility.
- Continuously enhance processes and risk management to support management goals.
- Participate in various company-wide initiatives, recommending and developing analysis tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness in processes and policies improvement.
- Provide research, analysis, and insights for management reporting as needed.
- Design, develop, implement, and train the Risk Control team in data analytics solutions for effective program execution.
- Independently create real-time data analytics tools to monitor controls and address risks.
- Collaborate with business teams to identify risks, conduct root cause analysis, and quantify impact, making valuable recommendations to management.

Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in analytical skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong professional ethics and a dedicated work attitude with a results-oriented mindset.
- Open-minded, adaptable, thrives under pressure, and has a passion for critical thinking.
- Experience in building dashboards and conducting quantitative analysis, visualization, and reporting.
- Passionate about working with large and complex data sets to derive actionable insights and solve challenging problems.
- Ability to work in a flexible team environment and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of working experience in data analytics with skills in data manipulation using SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages/tools preferred.
