Risk & Safety Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Risk & Safety Engineer to manage and execute technical studies for various projects in the Oil and Gas sector, both onshore and offshore. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of proven experience in preparing complex technical safety studies and will possess the skills necessary to lead and manage independent projects related to Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) and safety studies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage:
  • Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
  • Consequence Modeling/Fire Risk Assessment Studies (FERA)
  • Building Risk Assessment (BRA)
  • Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis (EERA)
  • Flare Radiation & Dispersion Analysis
  • ALARP Study
  • COMAH/Safety Case Studies
  • PHA/Bow-tie Analysis (valuable plus)
  • 3D F&G Mapping Studies (valuable plus)
  • Dropped Object Studies (valuable plus)
  • Emergency Systems Survivability Analysis (ESSA) (valuable plus)

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, or equivalent
• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Project Management: Capable of handling, leading, managing, and executing onshore and offshore QRA and safety studies independently
• Software Skills: Proven hands-on experience with the following software:
  • PHAST/SAFETI
  • Bow-tie XP or THESIS
  • FLARESIM
