We are currently looking for an Underwriter to join our team in Dubai during a time of strategic transformation. This position reports to the Underwriting Manager and involves crucial responsibilities regarding risk analysis, rate development, pricing, and consultative underwriting. The successful candidate will contribute to our goal of achieving profitable growth and earnings for the organization, with the authority to make informed decisions based on comprehensive financial insights. A strong understanding of market competitive conditions, along with predictive techniques for risk exposure calculation, is essential. Critical Tasks and Expected Contributions / Results:

  • Evaluate, price, and develop insurance plans for SMEs and large corporations according to organizational and market strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and pricing of renewal portfolios, collaborating with sales representatives, brokers, and clients to execute necessary rating actions.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of accounts, ensuring balance between long-term profitability, persistency, and growth.
  • Perform analytical reviews to discover and comprehend trends, patterns, and insights for effective portfolio management.
  • Collaborate with sales and client management teams to secure and maintain business relationships.
  • Work closely with operations and clinical teams to guarantee proper product utilization.
  • Maintain robust connections with finance and actuarial teams to assess the efficiency of pricing strategies and models.
  • Investigate instances of non-compliance in benefit adjudication and coordinate with appropriate managers to ensure adherence.
  • Provide clear, concise, and decisive instructions concerning risk exposure.
  • Stay informed about the market, competition, and customer needs.
  • Deliver accurate and timely underwriting metrics to the Underwriting Manager.
