The Level 3 Network and Wireless Engineer is a technical expert responsible for designing, securing, and optimizing the organization's enterprise wireless infrastructure (WLAN, controllers, BYOD). Key Responsibilities:

  • Wireless Architecture: Lead Wi-Fi 6/6E deployments, conduct site surveys, and perform capacity planning. Design cloud-managed WLAN (Cisco DNAC, Aruba Central) and hybrid architectures.
  • Network Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and optimize routing, switching, and interconnectivity across LAN, WAN, DMZ, B2B, and cloud environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security of network services.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve RF interference, roaming issues, and CAPWAP failures using tools such as Wireshark/Ekahau. Lead root cause analysis and long-term corrective action planning.
  • Design & Implementation: Participate in network design reviews and implement enterprise-grade network infrastructure (ACI, SD-WAN, etc.). Evaluate and integrate new networking technologies.
  • Network Change Management: Execute and oversee network configuration changes, migrations, and upgrades in compliance with change control policies.
  • Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor network performance, analyze trends, and implement tuning strategies for enhanced throughput and reduced latency.
  • Documentation & Standards: Maintain up-to-date documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams on service delivery. Provide guidance to Level 2 engineers and junior staff.

Mandatory Skills:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role.
  • Expert-level knowledge in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching (VLANs, STP, VTP), and IP addressing.
  • Expertise in Cisco WLC/Aruba/Meraki, RF tools, and WIPS.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies: ACI Data Center and SD-WAN platforms.
  • Proficient in DMZ, B2B, and internet gateway configuration.
  • Solid understanding of network segmentation, redundancy, and high availability principles.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills, especially under pressure.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise or Data Center track), SD-WAN certifications (Cisco, Viptela), ACI or Nexus-related training.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional visits to data centers and branch offices.
  • Availability for critical issue resolution and planned changes during off-hours.
  • Regular interaction with cross-functional technical teams.

  • English: C2 Proficient
