RTO Consultant

The individual will be part of the Global Optimization group and will participate at a senior level in implementing Real Time Optimization (RTO) applications in Refinery and Petrochemical units, utilizing the company's Process Optimization (APO) software. This role requires full-time, permanent employment based in Al Khobar, with a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and customer deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement RTO applications in Refinery and Petrochemical units
• Maintain the installed base of RTO applications
• Act as a technical interface with customers, establishing professional relationships to define and agree on project requirements
• Ensure engineered solutions meet project requirements for functionality, standards, quality, and documentation during installation, while troubleshooting technical problems during execution
• Monitor and control assigned work scope against the project plan, ensure effective change control, and identify risks or opportunities
• Review process flow diagrams and P&IDs, contribute to process discussions, complete database or schematic changes, implement complex data analysis calculations, and manipulate data files accurately
• Assist and participate in other the company's Project Areas as needed

Essential Qualifications

• Chemical Process and/or Control Engineer with 10+ years of relevant experience in optimizing Refinery and/or Petrochemical operations
• Expertise in rigorous refinery process simulation packages or advanced control applied to Refinery and Petrochemical
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with PI Asset Framework and PI Vision
• Programming skills in TCL, Python, Excel VBA, SQL are a plus
• Familiarity with Power BI.
