What You'll Be Doing:
- Implement corporate HSE Policy, HSE plan, and HSE legislation, monitor HSE performance and targets, and suggest measures for further improvement.
- Ensure that client's safety requirements are fully met.
- Liaise with the safety manager and contractors for the improvement and implementation of corporate HSE management ethics.
- Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable safety measures at site to fulfill legal and client requirements.
- Review Site Safety Plans, Emergency Plans, and other safety-related plans submitted by contractors. Assess Method Statements and risk analyses for all activities, monitoring the effectiveness of hazard control measures. Conduct HSE inspections and report findings for immediate rectification.
- Review and monitor contractors' monthly HSE inspections and reports.
- Conduct monthly Safety meetings, set targets to address outstanding issues, and prepare/submit minutes for follow-up.
- Review emergency preparedness and response, permit to work systems, Toolbox Talks, and HSE statistics & records of contractors according to company requirements.
- Review incident/accident investigation reports from contractors, communicate learning points, and monitor immediate and follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or a related construction engineering degree, along with internationally approved Safety courses.
- Minimum of 8+ years of Safety Engineering experience in Highway, Bridge, and Underpass projects in the UAE.
- Recognized health and safety education and certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, Fire Safety, etc.
- Working knowledge of Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction Safety Practices, Technical Guidelines, RTA Circulars, and Work Zone Traffic Management Manual.
- Ability to attend physical interviews in the UAE.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Audit ISO Qualifications (ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 License) or training in UAE.
