Responsibilities:
- Inspects equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure the safety of workers engaged in Oil & Gas facilities. This includes inspecting safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools, and replacing those that do not meet safety requirements.
- Observes crews at work and reports any laxity in safety precautions, such as failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
- Examines conditions of ditches and tunnels and recommends the use of braces to prevent cave-ins that could endanger workers.
- Investigates accidents to determine causes and devise preventive measures.
- Instructs workers in the use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
- Ensures compliance with all safety procedures.
- Encourages reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
- Complies with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) procedures prior to commencement and during work.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas maintenance for candidates with a High School diploma.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Oil & Gas maintenance for candidates with a Diploma.
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance jobs related to safety.
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills within large organizations.
- Maturity of judgment under pressure and ability to resolve problems.
- Strategic management skills.
