What Will You Do?
Safety Policy and Objectives:
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the safety management system, focusing on worker, user, and third-party safety.
- Cultivate a culture of understanding and active care for safety, serving as a role model.
- Compile, maintain, and enhance safety documentation in collaboration with the unit safety team.
- Actively participate in unit safety committees and other safety forums.
- Provide professional advice and support on safety matters to the unit.
- Plan, take part in, and implement projects and activities aimed at improving safety.
- Collaborate closely with customers and partners, including the company subcontractors.
- Support the development, review, and execution of crisis and emergency response plans.
Safety Risk Management:
- Monitor and develop safety risk management processes, tools, and practices.
- Assist safety-related change management projects and initiatives.
Safety Assurance:
- Collect, measure, and ensure the accuracy of leading and lagging safety data, reporting on performance.
- Monitor developments in the legal and business environment related to safety, proposing necessary actions.
- Conduct regular safety audits to verify compliance, identify uncontrolled risks, and manage deviations.
- Assist line management during safety audits/visits and support the continuous improvement of the audit process.
- Analyze and investigate incidents, supporting the enhancement of the investigation process.
- Manage corrective and preventive actions for ongoing improvement.
Safety Promotion:
- Develop personal competencies as a safety specialist in cooperation with the manager.
- Support the training and development of safety competencies in others within the unit.
- Proactively communicate safety information, including investigation outcomes and best practices.
Are You the One?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety within elevators, construction, or related industries.
- Passionate about safety complemented by excellent communication, training, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in English and Arabic, with excellent communication abilities.
- NEBOSH and IOSH certificates are mandatory.
