About the Role
The Ground Support Systems (GSS) Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the GSS team and ensuring the effective administration and maintenance of the Typhoon GSS in support of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) operations. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver all Typhoon GSS administration activities related to the mobilization and maintenance of GSS installations to support RSAF Typhoon operations.
- Assist GSS Team Leaders in performance appraisals of GSS Technicians.
- Support project teams by addressing technical issues related to design, planning, and rollout of GSS capabilities.
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain system hardware and software associated with GSS operational infrastructure.
- Raise Technical Publications Request Forms (TPRFs) as needed.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and mentoring for RSAF GSS System Administrators and PC SNs.
- Ensure compliance with governance requirements of the Operational Framework, including ITAR and LCM.
- Provide supervision of Safety, SHE, and Quality Assurance across GSS activities.
- Understand the impact of GSS availability on business objectives and effectively communicate this to the team.
- Complete all mandated training on time and take a proactive approach to performance appraisals.
- Report safety-related occurrences and non-compliances as appropriate.
- Familiarize oneself with GSS Management documents and procedures relevant to this role.
Job Requirements
Essential
- Recognized qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical or IT/computer science discipline, or a recognized technical apprenticeship, or an equivalent technical qualification approved by M&CA.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting aircraft ground capability (mission planning or maintenance management systems) OR 2 years post-completion of the BAESSA apprenticeship program (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
- Familiarity with support aircraft ground capability, such as mission planning or maintenance management systems.
- Awareness of Continuing Airworthiness and aircraft operation environments, as well as the aircraft weapon system.
- Proficiency in aircraft operations management with awareness of operations support services.
- Fluent in English.
- Registration with the Saudi Engineering Council (SEC).
Desirable
- NVQ5/BTEC/HND or Degree in a relevant technical or computer science discipline.
- Incorporated/Technician or Chartered Engineer with a relevant professional institute (e.g., Saudi Council of Engineers, Royal Aeronautical Society).
- Ability to work independently to resolve issues.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to organize and deliver tasks on time.
- Over 3 years of experience in IT service delivery.

- McAfee ePO
- Awareness of Hyper Converged Infrastructure
