About the Job
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for market mapping and intelligence to generate leads and opportunities within the Oil & Gas (O&G) and Power Generation sectors. This role involves managing the entire sales process within the Engineering and Solutions Business Unit, specifically focusing on Instrumentation. The ideal candidate will support the Sales Team in achieving targets and business growth while building and maintaining strong client relationships and providing technical expertise related to Instrumentation and Engineering Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market mapping and intel to identify leads within the O&G and Power Generation sectors.
  • Oversee the sales process within the designated vertical, managing a multi-disciplinary portfolio.
  • Assist the Sales Team in meeting sales targets and executing business plans at the business unit level.
  • Provide comprehensive technical guidance to clients, helping them select products based on their specific needs.
  • Develop and support proposal processes by delivering all-inclusive details, including technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and demands to uncover new business and technology opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—proposal, engineering, Sales Order management, and product development—to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
  • Offer ongoing customer support, addressing inquiries and resolving issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas and Power Generation sectors.
  • An affinity for and familiarity with Engineering, Process, and Technology aspects of the business.

Experience Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in the UAE or Middle East, including at least 3 years at a Senior Sales Engineer level in a similar industry.
  • Must possess a valid UAE driving license and own a car.
  • Compliance with HSE regulations and the capability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Skills & Professional Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical sales within the Instrumentation and Engineering Solutions sector, specifically in O&G (Field Instrumentation, Flare Meter, UFM Flowmeters, Valves, Fittings).
  • Strong understanding of the market and established connections with EPCs and Developers in the O&G and Power Generation sectors in the UAE.

  • Exhibit an excellent personality along with strong communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities.
