Responsibilities
- Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell products and services.
- Analyze market insights and customer buying behaviors to develop sales plans in line with business division strategies and targets. Gain an understanding of shipyard businesses, particularly in supporting new building enquiries both commercially and technically.
- Source and manage leads from the market and convert them into real business opportunities, effectively owning the Lead to Cash process.
- Manage and maintain documents related to new building ships, including quotes, technical documents, ship design documents, change requests, and operational service procedures.
- Engage with customers proactively through visits, meetings, and interactions to understand their needs and showcase the value of our products and services.
- Oversee commercial operations by maintaining the customer grid and proactively planning in our tools to build and maintain a robust customer network.
- Understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions that provide value.
- Utilize CRM and other tools consistently and qualitatively to support the sales process and inform decision-making.
- Actively participate as a team member of the Marine service team, promoting a team spirit mindset.
- Work proactively and systematically to serve customers, reflecting the service culture that prioritizes customer needs.
- Drive digital initiatives to broaden customer engagement and presence.
- Coordinate closely with the Service Department, Service Operations, and the International Marine Service Organization.
Who You Are
- You are an Engineer or science graduate with 4 - 5 years of experience in the shipyard, shipbuilding, and Marine business.
- You possess proven competence in industry, products, and applications.
- You have strong business acumen, with capabilities in business/marketing analysis, contracts, pricing, and sales & marketing.
- You exhibit strong customer relationship management and negotiating skills.
- You have knowledge of systems/solutions engineering, including technical and cost components.
- You possess high proficiency in Core technology for Marine products.
- You are an effective communicator, proficient in Excel, Word, and presentations.
- You hold a relevant Engineering Degree in Marine/Mechanical engineering.
- You have established networks within Marine industry customers and can help build organizational competencies in product/application.
