About the Job
The company helps the world’s largest enterprises modernize and secure their foundational network infrastructure through intelligent DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) solutions. As organizations accelerate cloud adoption, automation initiatives, and digital transformation, the company delivers the visibility, control, automation, and resiliency required to operate modern hybrid and multi-cloud environments at scale.

We are seeking a consultative, customer-focused Sales Engineer to help enterprise organizations modernize their infrastructure operations through API-driven automation, AI-assisted operational intelligence, and integrated DDI solutions. This role goes far beyond traditional pre-sales engineering. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the customer lifecycle — from discovery and evaluation through adoption, operational success, and expansion. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and GTM teams to help customers simplify operations, accelerate automation, improve security posture, and drive measurable business value.

Whether you are a Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Architect, Automation Engineer, or customer-facing technical consultant with strong networking and cloud expertise, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:
Advise Customers on Infrastructure Modernization

  • Lead consultative technical discovery sessions focused on infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, operational automation, and resiliency initiatives
  • Advise enterprise customers on modern DDI architectures spanning hybrid, multi-cloud, and distributed environments
  • Help customers modernize legacy network services into API-driven, automated infrastructure platforms
  • Guide customers on operational best practices for DNS, DHCP, IPAM, security integrations, automation, and orchestration
  • Align technical recommendations to customer business priorities, operational outcomes, and strategic initiatives

Deliver Business Value Through Technical Engagements

  • Lead proof-of-value engagements focused on automation outcomes, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and infrastructure resiliency
  • Design and position integrated solutions leveraging the company's technologies alongside cloud, security, orchestration, and integration platforms
  • Support customers with Infrastructure-as-Code strategies, automation frameworks, and API-driven integrations
  • Deliver technical workshops, executive presentations, and architecture reviews for both technical and business audiences
  • Partner with Customer Success and Professional Services teams to ensure successful transitions from evaluation through deployment, adoption, and expansion

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration and Market Influence

  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and GTM teams to influence product direction and customer engagement strategies
  • Provide customer feedback on automation capabilities, API usability, cloud integrations, orchestration workflows, and operational requirements
  • Contribute to technical enablement content, architecture guidance, field best practices, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Participate in customer advisory engagements, webinars, strategic events, and industry conferences
  • Help identify expansion opportunities and additional customer value across the broader company's platform portfolio

Operate Effectively in a Modern Customer Engagement Model

  • Manage technical engagement activity and opportunity updates within Salesforce and collaboration platforms
  • Support customers through modern remote-first engagement models and be willing to travel when required while maintaining strong executive presence and customer relationships
  • Collaborate effectively across distributed global teams and partner ecosystems
  • Continuously expand expertise in automation, AI-assisted operations, cloud networking, infrastructure intelligence, and modern enterprise architectures

What You Bring:
Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and network infrastructure operations
  • Experience supporting enterprise hybrid and multi-cloud environments

Experience with:

  • DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management platforms
  • API-driven infrastructure and automation frameworks
  • Infrastructure-as-Code tools and orchestration technologies
  • Cloud networking and hybrid infrastructure architectures
  • Network security and operational resiliency strategies
  • Linux/UNIX platforms and systems administration
  • Scripting, automation, and systems integration
  • Virtualization and cloud-native technologies
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted operations, infrastructure intelligence, operational analytics, and automation workflows is highly valued
  • Experience integrating infrastructure platforms with cloud providers, security tools, orchestration platforms, or IT operations ecosystems is preferred

Customer Engagement & Leadership Skills

  • Strong consultative advisory and relationship-building capabilities
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to align technical solutions with customer business outcomes and strategic priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills across Sales, Product, Engineering, Services, Customer Success, and GTM organizations
  • Comfortable leading technical strategy discussions with architects, operations teams, and executive stakeholders
  • Ability to influence complex enterprise sales cycles through technical credibility and business alignment

Experience & Education

  • 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, infrastructure engineering, network engineering, systems engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing architecture roles
  • Experience designing enterprise infrastructure solutions for networking, cloud, security, automation, or systems integration environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
  • Comfortable operating in a remote-first environment with moderate travel for strategic customer engagements and industry events
