Job Accountabilities & Activities
- Calling on assigned accounts to sell repair products and services within a specified territory
- Calling on prospective clients to grow market share within the assigned territory
- Focusing on personal sales targets and business development
- Working closely with the Service Center Sales Manager and other Sales Engineers within the Service Centre to ensure proper shop loading throughout the year
- Building relationships with various individuals within a customer’s site, including rotating equipment engineers, maintenance managers or supervisors, purchasing agents or managers, and site management
- Troubleshooting customer problems, focusing on addressing “bad actors” to solve performance issues, improving energy and operating costs, and enhancing overall equipment reliability
- Understanding and keeping up to date on customers' processes
- Staying informed on product capabilities and enhancements for AMCO products as well as related competitor products
- Preparing presentations and proposals to secure new orders, including thorough review of customer specifications and commercial requirements
- Coordinating and resolving customer service issues in a way that retains the customer and creates opportunities for additional revenue in the future
- Providing assistance as needed in collecting accounts receivable on past due accounts
- Traveling as necessary to meet with customers
- Managing personal travel and entertainment budgets
- Completing call, sales, and expense reports in a timely manner
- Representing the company in a positive manner during customer interactions
Education & Certifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification
Required Years of Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience
