Salesforce Engineer, Commercial Systems

Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT. We are seeking a Salesforce Engineer who is committed to high engineering quality and process efficiency, continuously develops their skills, and strives for improvement.

The Commercial Systems unit oversees several areas spread across five engineering teams, closely collaborating with other engineering and business teams at Canonical. The team supports systems like Salesforce and NetSuite, ensuring business processes are effectively implemented and maintained.

Location: Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia (Remote within the EMEA region)
Work Conditions: Full-time, remote work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in person

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engineering solutions in Salesforce and other business systems
• Collaborate on business specifications, technical designs, and code reviews
• Learn Canonical business processes
• Depending on seniority, coach and mentor team members
• Promote engineering and organizational best practices

What We Are Looking For:

• Exceptional academic track record with an undergraduate degree in a technical field or relevant experience
• Experience with Salesforce
• Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
• Result-oriented with a personal drive to meet commitments
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks long)

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Performance engineering and security experience
• Experience with NetSuite or other CRM/ERP systems
• Background in accounting, sales, sales operations, or similar business roles
