The Salesforce Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems is an engineering management role suited for a technologist passionate about Linux and Ubuntu. This position provides the opportunity to lead engineering efforts within the Commercial Systems unit, which collaborates closely with other engineering and business teams at Canonical. The Salesforce team is tasked with the development and configuration of Canonical's Salesforce instance, aimed at delivering a first-class experience to Sales and business operations teams, while maintaining high engineering standards.
The successful candidate will have senior-level experience in Salesforce engineering, continuously seeking improvements and applying best practices to keep the Salesforce instance efficient and maintainable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers to deliver solutions using the Salesforce platform.
- Seek improvements to established processes and engineering solutions.
- Collaborate on business analysis and technical designs.
- Provide expertise in Salesforce to business customers and cross-functional teams.
- Deliver engineering solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Experience with Salesforce development and integrations.
- Experience as a hands-on engineering manager or team lead.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
- Willingness to travel internationally approximately 2-4 times per year.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience as a software developer in high-level languages, preferably Go or Python.
- Background in a business role such as sales, finance, or operations.
Work Conditions:
- Fully remote working environment.
- Opportunity to travel to new locations for in-person team meetings (approximately two to four times per year).
