Responsibilities
- Perform routine sample preparation activities in accordance with laboratory procedures.
- Operate sample preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure prepared samples are representative of the original material and meet quality requirements.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Follow laboratory quality control procedures and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with the company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.
- Report equipment issues, incidents and non-conformities to the supervisor.
- Support daily laboratory operations to meet sample processing requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in sample preparation or a similar laboratory role.
- Knowledge of laboratory sample preparation procedures.
- Ability to operate sample preparation equipment.
- Basic understanding of laboratory safety and quality control practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
- Willingness to work shifts as required.
