SAP ABAP Consultant

Synechron is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 10 years of experience to join our team. We are a global consulting firm dedicated to digital transformation, leveraging creativity and innovative technology to provide leading digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end SAP ABAP development projects, including designing, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with business analysts and functional consultants to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop complex reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows using ABAP.
• Optimize existing ABAP programs for performance and efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues related to ABAP programs and custom developments.
• Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, standards, and documentation.
• Participate in architecture design discussions and contribute to technical strategy.
• Support SAP upgrades, patches, and integration efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 10+ years of proven experience in SAP ABAP development, including experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA preferred.
• Expertise in ABAP Objects, ALV reports, SAP enhancements (BADI, User Exits), SAP interfaces (IDoc, BAPI, RFC), and Forms (SmartForms, SAPscript).
• Strong understanding of SAP modules and overall SAP architecture.
• Experience with performance tuning and system optimization.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, UI5, Gateway, and OData services is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant SAP certifications in ABAP Development are a plus.
