SAP Basis Administrator

About the Role
In this position, you will perform essential SAP Basis administration and monitoring activities to ensure optimal performance and availability of SAP systems. You will be responsible for supporting system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches, as well as managing user roles, authorizations, and access. The role requires proactive system health checks and collaboration with both functional and technical teams to resolve incidents swiftly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily SAP Basis administration and monitoring activities.
• Monitor SAP system health, performance, and availability.
• Support SAP system installations, configurations, upgrades, and patches.
• Perform user administration, roles, authorizations, and access management.
• Monitor system logs, work processes, background jobs, and system performance.
• Support SAP transport management across different environments.
• Perform database monitoring and basic database administration activities.
• Support SAP backup and restore activities and troubleshoot system issues.
• Monitor interfaces and RFC connections and assist with issue resolution.
• Coordinate with functional and technical teams to resolve SAP-related incidents.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Support SAP system maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
• Good understanding of SAP architecture and Basis administration.
• Basic knowledge of SAP user and authorization management.
• Knowledge of SAP transports, background jobs, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of databases such as HANA or SQL Server.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• SAP Basis certification.
