SAP Delivery Manager and Program Architect

The SAP Delivery Manager and Program Architect is a senior leadership role responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of complex SAP programs and projects, as well as defining and overseeing the strategic architectural direction of SAP solutions across the enterprise. This role demands a seasoned SAP professional with a deep understanding of SAP functionalities, project delivery methodologies, and enterprise architecture principles. The incumbent will lead cross-functional teams, manage client relationships, ensure adherence to best practices, and drive innovation within our SAP landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP Delivery Management & Leadership:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple SAP implementation, upgrade, and support projects.
  • Lead and mentor project managers, functional consultants, technical leads, and development teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project governance structures, risk management strategies, and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage project financials, resource allocation, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Activate, Waterfall).

• SAP Program Architecture & Strategy:

  • Define and maintain the SAP enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Provide expert architectural guidance for major SAP initiatives, including S/4HANA transformations and cloud migrations.
  • Design scalable and secure SAP solutions that optimize system performance.
  • Evaluate new SAP technologies and make recommendations for adoption and integration.
  • Ensure architectural consistency and adherence to industry standards.

• Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders and client executives.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client discussions and translate their needs into SAP solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

• Team Leadership & Development:

  • Recruit, train, and develop a highly skilled team of SAP professionals.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify professional development opportunities.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous learning within the SAP team.

Preferred Education: Master's Degree

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

• 12-15 years of experience in SAP consulting, implementation, and program management, focusing on large-scale enterprise projects.
• 5-7 years in a leadership role overseeing SAP delivery and/or architectural functions.
• Proven experience leading multiple full lifecycle SAP implementations, including ECC and S/4HANA.
• Deep functional and/or technical expertise across multiple SAP modules.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA capabilities and migration strategies.
• Proficiency in SAP integration technologies (e.g., SAP CPI, PI/PO, RFCs, APIs).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with SAP.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 and user experience design principles.
