The SAP-EAMS Director is the senior technology and business process leader responsible for designing, integrating, and operating the digital backbone of the city’s infrastructure. This role ensures that every physical asset is digitally registered, tracked, and governed within a centralized platform. Operating within the City Asset Management Integration team, the Director bridges the gap between large-scale real estate operations and enterprise IT, enabling predictive maintenance, lifecycle planning, and data-driven smart city governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing the Digital Asset Hierarchy: Define and maintain the master data model for millions of assets, establish standards for equipment and asset attributes, and govern data quality and change management processes.
- Digital Asset Onboarding & Vesting: Ensure seamless vesting of digital footprints into SAP upon handover from construction contractors, oversee data ingestion related to assets, and develop protocols for data validation.
- Cross-Functional Operations Integration: Partner with finance teams to track maintenance costs and automate cost recovery based on SAP data. Work with field operations to translate maintenance strategies into digital processes and provide reporting tools for asset visibility.
- System Integration Across the Smart City Stack: Coordinate with IT and Digital teams to ensure data flows between SAP and other smart city systems.
- Predictive & Lifecycle Management: Implement preventive and predictive maintenance regimes, define automation triggers for asset failures, and analyze asset performance to support capital expenditure planning.
- Analytics & Reporting: Develop BI dashboards to monitor asset health and compliance, provide reports to leadership on asset performance.
- Vendor & SLA Governance: Integrate third-party service providers into the SAP work management ecosystem, ensure vendor compliance, and track performance metrics.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure that asset management processes within SAP meet internal governance and audit requirements, lead periodic audits to verify data integrity.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- SAP certification in SAP EAM/EAMS and additional certifications in asset management or project management are advantageous.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in enterprise asset management, with significant expertise in SAP EAM/EAMS in complex environments.
- Proven track record in designing asset hierarchies and integrating operational and financial processes.
- Strong orientation toward governance, risk management, and compliance.
