SAP FI/CO Consultant (S/4HANA Finance)

The company is seeking a UAE-based SAP FI/CO Consultant to manage the Finance and Controlling workstream during a brownfield ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA 2023 conversion on RISE with SAP. This role will focus on Finance-specific conversion activities, including the new Universal Journal and ledger structures, customer and vendor integration, data archiving before migration, and ensuring the integrity of all financial documents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the FI/CO functional workstream through all programme phases from assessment to hypercare.
• Conduct Finance readiness assessments and drive S/4HANA Finance conversion activities.
• Oversee data archiving processes and establish FI/CO reconciliation controls.
• Facilitate Fit-to-Standard workshops and document designs.
• Support the integration of Finance with connected systems.
• Execute testing and validation for migrations and provide knowledge transfer to key users.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO configuration experience, including full-lifecycle projects.
• At least one completed S/4HANA conversion or migration project.
• Strong configuration skills in FI and CO modules.
• Experience with data migration and reconciliation.
• Valid UAE residence visa or immediate availability to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of energy, utilities, or nuclear sector finance.
• Familiarity with UAE statutory and tax requirements, including VAT.
• Exposure to Fiori app configuration and GRC Access Control SoD analysis.
• Arabic language ability is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or related discipline.
• SAP Certified Application Associate in S/4HANA for Financial Accounting or Management Accounting (required or in progress).
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) is advantageous.

Working Arrangements and Eligibility:

• Onshore role in Abu Dhabi; requires senior presence during project initiation, blueprinting, and go-live.
• Weekend and out-of-hours work may be necessary during cutover activities.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory, with Arabic language ability as an advantage.
