Responsibilities
- Lead the Log-out/Tag-out office and coordinate all permits for safe work on site.
- Prepare and manage safety documents (Safe systems of work) related to electrical activities on site, including switching schedules and permit systems.
- Keep records of all permits, conduct site inspections, and take the lead in the safe isolation of equipment.
- Prepare and conduct training for onsite personnel regarding authorization to conduct specific activities under Electrical and Mechanical safety rules.
- Endorse the role of SAP (Senior Authorized Person) for LV systems.
- Maintain continuous coordination with Commissioning Engineers to ensure all works are conducted safely.
- Ensure that risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed concerning HSE requirements, and that work is executed per RAMS guidelines.
- Take all necessary precautions to ensure safety during construction and commissioning work.
- Maintain responsibility for the safety and HSE performance of personnel under their control, with authority to stop work if safety is compromised.
- Ensure relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into areas of responsibility; collaborate with site management, HSE and Commissioning teams to eliminate or mitigate HSE hazards effectively.
- Coordinate with the Site Manager, Commissioning Manager, and Site HSE Manager regarding all site-related activities.
- Share Lessons Learned and feedback for both current and future projects.
- Participate in site meetings and work closely with the Commissioning team to ensure complete understanding of the testing program.
Qualifications
- Experience as a LoTo coordinator in industrial plants.
- Background as a site electrical supervisor within construction or a related field.
- Degree in electrical engineering or a related qualification.
- SAP operational safety training from a recognized training body or equivalent.
- Experienced with HSEQ requirements.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical safety rules.
- Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent certification.
- Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass, CSCS, CCNSG card, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite applications.
- Minimum 3 years of active site experience as a LoTo.
