Key Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements and translate manufacturing processes into functional SAP MES solutions.
- Lead or support SAP MES implementation, configuration, enhancement, and system optimization activities.
- Configure and support manufacturing execution processes, including production orders, work instructions, production confirmations, and work-in-progress tracking.
- Ensure effective integration between SAP MES and SAP ERP / SAP S/4HANA, including production planning, inventory management, and quality management.
- Support material traceability, batch and serial number management, production genealogy, and quality inspection processes.
- Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, configuration documents, and test scenarios.
- Conduct functional testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and support go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with technical teams, and ensure timely resolution of functional defects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend appropriate SAP solutions.
- Provide end-user training, system support, and guidance on manufacturing best practices.
- Ensure compliance with established operational procedures, data integrity requirements, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in SAP and manufacturing systems, with substantial hands-on experience in SAP MES functional consulting.
- Proven experience in SAP MES implementation, configuration, enhancement, or support.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing execution processes, production planning, shop-floor operations, and quality management.
- Experience integrating SAP MES with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.
- Familiarity with SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME), or other relevant MES platforms.
- Knowledge of SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP MM (Materials Management), and SAP QM (Quality Management) is highly desirable.
- Experience in requirements gathering, functional design, system testing, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams across IT, manufacturing, engineering, and quality.
