This role involves shaping best-practice processes for complex product development projects, customer delivery contracts, capital projects, and strategic transformation initiatives. The specialist will ensure these processes are fully enabled in our enterprise PPM/ERP application landscape, enabling end users to leverage SAP EPPM for portfolio prioritization, governance, and KPI tracking, as well as SAP S/4HANA for cost management, revenue planning, and procurement integration, and Microsoft Project Server for enterprise scheduling, resource allocation, milestone tracking, and time writing.
As EDGE Group grows, the PPM Process Senior Specialist will engage with new entities to facilitate their onboarding and support the effective adoption of the enterprise processes.
Key Accountabilities:

Process & Solution Design:
Design integrated project and portfolio management processes covering the full lifecycle from opportunity identification and bid evaluation to program execution, change control, and closure. Ensure alignment with industry standards (e.g., PMI PMBOK, ISO 21500, EIA-748 EVMS) and regulatory frameworks common in the aerospace/defense sector.

Application Enablement & User Guidance:
Define system usage guidelines, templates, and data structures to support consistent execution. Advise PMOs and program managers on best use of PPM tools, conduct hands-on sessions, and provide user onboarding.

Integration & Data Governance:
Ensure seamless integration between PPM tools and ERP modules, enabling accurate cost/schedule performance measurement and executive reporting. Work to maintain master data integrity and establish controls for portfolio and project information.

Implementation & Continuous Improvement:
Lead discovery and exploration activities for project management in implementation projects, participate in system integration testing, and gather feedback for process refinement.
Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:
- Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in enterprise project/portfolio management process design in large-scale, engineering, or defense environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Project Server, SAP S/4HANA PS, and SAP EPPM.
- Proven ability to bridge business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Extensive experience in implementing PPM processes in digital transformation programs.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and guiding end users in enterprise application usage.
- Strong documentation skills (process flows, functional specs).

Preferred:
Experience in environments with EVMS compliance, ITAR/EAR controls, and aerospace/defense governance. Familiarity with digital transformation in engineering enterprises, including concepts like digital thread and digital twin.
