EY is seeking a Saudi National for the role of Saudi Data Protection Officer, as required by the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law. The successful candidate will join our Risk Management team to focus on the developing Saudi data protection legal framework and ensure compliance across our expanding member firms. This role will involve managing all data protection activities and acting as a subject matter expert for our service line professionals.

The key responsibilities include:
- Advising personnel on obligations under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law.
- Monitoring compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.
- Acting as the point of contact for the supervisory authority regarding data processing issues.
- Responding to data subjects' inquiries related to data protection practices and rights.
- Developing and delivering training on personal data protection.
- Handling personal data breaches and developing response plans.
- Keeping updated on laws and guidance related to data protection.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data protection, data privacy, or a legal function related to data protection.
- Academic qualifications in Personal Data Protection.
- Experience within a large international or Saudi business focused on risk management, data protection, or compliance.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High integrity and honesty.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in Arabic is preferred, in addition to strong communication skills in English.
