This internship is a 12-month program that serves as an investment in young talents who meet the required criteria to thrive in this role and orient themselves for future positions in the energy market. It aims to help you develop general field technical skills and gain valuable on-the-job knowledge that is essential for serving client sites.
What You’ll Do
- Support the company engineer in preparing Signal List from schematics and applicable documents.
- Assist in handling engineering and field service works for protection relays, panels modification, protection logic diagrams, general arrangement/layouts, Bill of Materials, purchasing requests, Protection/SCMS/LCC schematics, SCMS/cybersecurity architectures, SCMS signal lists, cable schedules, control desk drawings, IEC61850 signal mapping, etc.
- Support all production documents (wiring tables, label lists, cable schedules, interpanel wiring files), CT/VT adequacy checks, and relay setting calculations.
- Collaborate with the company engineer for field service activities related to Substation Automation Systems, including DCS/SCS, RTU, and cybersecurity.
- Assist in all technical activities for assigned projects (EHS coordination and follow-up, site works).
- Help the company engineer coordinate and record tests for digital inputs, controls, measurements, interlocks, IEC61850 IEDs, SCADA signals, and SCS functionalities.
- Aid in the installation of the SCS system at the site, including fiber optic layout, PC installation at panels, SCS console wiring, installation, and testing.
- Adhere to project planning to ensure timely achievement of project milestones as per project schedule.
- Coordinate workplace EHS issues and ensure the availability of suitable PPE for T&C personnel, both internal and subcontracted.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Machine Power, Electrical Power, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Control and Instrumentation, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Cybersecurity, or Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Fresh graduates or up to 2 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in English.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Certifications in Cybersecurity and/or AI are advantageous.
- Active listener with good communication skills in English and Arabic.
